Since Ruby A.K.A. "Rickways Songbird" arrived in our home we have not stopped laughing at her silliness. If she is not trying to steal a sock, lick out the dishwasher, or lure our Dalmatian Maggie into a game of keep away (usually with the sock) she is laying by our feet or curled up beside us on the couch. Ruby has many doggie friends, but she truly adores her Maggie. We joke that Ruby is a Dal-bador (Dalmatian - Labrador) as she tries so hard to be just like a Dalmatian; she is just missing the spots. I am sure if she could grow some spots she would. Ruby is gentle. smart and a loyal companion which has made her a natural in the obedience ring. She has every trait of a well bred Lab. Ruby has completed her "Companion Dog" title and is itching to compete in the Open ring. She loves to jump and retrieve, which makes competing with her all the more fun. Ruby is such a well rounded dog that we are positive she will excel at almost: anything she tries. We are currently working on achieving a Rally Obedience Novice title and a Canine Good Neighbor certificate. The future is bright for Ruby. Ruby adds so much to our little family, and we cannot imagine life without her. We are also looking forward to our next Rickway Lab.
